Another drawing from class. I need to work on making my feet smaller. DAMN YOU MANGA!
Part of my homework for design illustration class, the challenge this week was for us to render denim and come up with an interesting theme etc surrounding it. I kinda played into a few things I like, putting a little Asian influence into it.
Class sketch of a fewllow class mate.
Second week of this semester. We are working on drawing clothing on the form that is not fitted or where you cannot readily see the body, it is a little tough at times because you have to really pay attention to how the form is standing underneath. It gets easier using your guidelines though, I sweat a little but it was fun.
This week our assignment for design illustration looks at denim, before doing the real croquis for it I did this drawing to loosen up.
Some work from drawing class this week. It scanned a little badly because I had to put it up in pieces, have some more I will add over time. I am a little excited to start working on our assignments.
Some sketches for a class assignment. They could be better, I have to work more on my hands again. THE BANE OF MY EXISTENCE, well not really but yeah, back to work.
Orientation today kinda drained me a bit (next time I will have breakfast). Thought it would be a simple process of just going to hear a few officials speak, get some documents. Boy was I so wrong.
However, despite that sinking feeling of my time going away, I am pretty much excited to get to work on my degree. I am part of the first batch of students to study Fashion and Design in the Caribbean and the pressure is on all involved to perform well. The world and the faculty heads are bearing down on us newbie students to make the inaugural programme a success.
I think we can do it. The teachers seem very excited and passionate about making this work, I just want to meet their expectations. I have a lot of high standards to meet. More later!
