Okay so pretty much I nothing has been updated for a little over a month but I am actually busy doing creative things ( honest) besides school.  Some of these things however I cannot quite talk about till they are complete but I have a few sketches from my notebook I thought I would put up today. I have some more art that I will place again as I have more time and my friend give me back my notebooks (strongy is still inking and colouring the next 2 episodes of Pooraj and Mammoo).

Not that I have not been working but some work I am preparing for in the future have me not working on current projects but they are fun and creatively driven so there will be quite a bit of images and developments coming out of them soon enough. Meanwhile take a sneak peek at this image that is part of some work I am putting together for the draconian switch magazine, due out this month.

I almost did not put anything up, but I did have a few sketches that I thought were interesting. Preparing for midterms so I did not do a lot of sketching this week, strangely, cause I felt like I am beginning to free up a bit with my style. This week, I started to play some more with my markers. I am kind of getting a little more into exploring my media and regaining something of my past in terms of my confidence and freedom. I can see myself using a lot of watercolour or watercolour like pieces really soon. N joy!

I have performed as a somewhat decent Rapso artist. I wouldn’t have even tried to hold a mic if it wasn’t for these 5 performers which hold a lot of weight in influencing the decisions that led me to attempt to walk a Rapso path. In my humble opinion they should be some of the starting points when thinking of Rapso music.

Cauchemar they called him and a nightmare he truly was. His very appearance was dreamlike; seemingly if you looked at him too closely he would float away into nothingness. Barely 5 ft tall and with a slim reed-like frame he was easy to miss in a crowd.

A friend of mine asked me recently, “do you have ne words of advice for a retired pen artist? i havent picked up a pencil since i left school and these days i get the urge to draw but i cant come up with nuthin. ne pointers?”

From my experience art is something you really have to constantly work art. In a drought, it helps to have a lot of inspiration from artists/art you like to kinda jump start your mind. My response to him follows. However I think I should add that reading helps a lot with drawing and is something that should be on your sketching diet.

This is a collaborative effort by myself and the production team Detnator. We have just about 18 songs and it will feature some video of my art and their music. On a lonely, melancholy and lazy Friday evening the splish- splash of puddles and irrefutable presence of rain hit the city of Port of Spain. Torrential rains came down off of galvanize rooftops with the ping pong of steel, and streamed down windowpanes, bringing everything to a sluggish pitch.

The car skidded to a halt and she checked the mirror, adjusting her lip gloss with one deft swish of finger. She gave herself a quick once over in the mirror before blowing it a playful kiss. Her keys jingled in left hand as she climbed the steps of her grandmother’s home in Woodbrook.
She expected to hear comment over the tightness and shortness of her skirt but as the front door eased open and she found Grandmama asleep in front of the television, her defences flagged down.
